I started my journey by drawing almost any cartoon characters that I would see as a show or a movie only using crayons, colored pencils, and markers.
And all I would ever draw were cartoon characters that I would see on TV.
It wasn’t until I was a senior in high school that I would take art more seriously by creating my first few major pieces which involved my interpretation of portals to other realms.
After graduating from high school, I gave up art for a year to study environmental science at Texas A&M University-Commerce and then I decided to minor in art so that I may approach architecture when I transferred over to the University of Texas at Arlington since Commerce did not have architecture as a major.
In Commerce, my first breakthrough as an artist came when I made a portrait of Lupita Nyong’o made out of cross-hatching which thoroughly impressed my teacher so much that he decided to show it to his other classes outside of mine.
Once I got into UT Arlington, I switched my major after my first semester from Architecture to Animation and Gaming and was to dabble with 2D Animation, Stop Motion, Motion Graphics, Unity C# script, and I am also currently learning how to mess with 3D animation.
My centerpiece for most of my projects mostly revolves around giraffes because that is currently where my style is headed ever since I started experimenting with all kinds of animation software to obtain a better understanding of how I can make them work for me.
I have also done an illustration of an alligator snapping turtle for the Amphibian Reptile Diversity Research Center which I have displayed in an art exhibit for people from the Research Center to see. It was one of the most unique typesprojects of 2D project I have ever made due to how I able to apply an etching technique that I was able to develop by myself which brought a more distinct aspect of what my capabilities are when creating new types of drawings.
I have continued to create more projects outside of school where I am able to put into practice everything I have learned as a college student.
This is where I started as an advertiser and I have been doing more promotional work ever since.
